It's Chazelle's most ambitious work to date, but as noted in our Babylon review, that ambition results in a three-hour movie that will be "one viewer's favorite movie of the year and another's calamitous nemesis." The Royal Nanny truly has all the makings of a memorable holiday movie. Rachel Skarsten plays the titular nanny/MI5 agent who goes undercover inside Kensington Palace. New cast members to the Luther franchise include Wicked star Cynthia Erivo, Lord of the Rings actor Andy Serkis, retired professional mixed martial artist Jess Liaudin and Samuel Winner.
The movie's storyline begins with screenwriter Lucy Collins landing a job to write the script for a remake of "His Merry Bride!," a beloved Christmas classic first filmed at Biltmore House in 1947. Lucy travels to the estate and joins a guided tour of the historic home. She's drawn to an entrancing hourglass that she accidentally knocks over, subsequently being transported back in time to 1946 ― the Golden Age of Hollywood ― and on set with the cast and crew of "His Merry Bride!" at Biltmore. The theory, repeated several times online, pointed to the fact Frank refused to pay towards the hefty pizza delivery bill at the start of the first film, and that he appears to despise Kevin throughout all their interactions. Some even highlighted the deleted pantsing scene as further proof of Frank’s villainy. Filming took place in Oxford, Mississippi near the University of Mississippi campus, and Paris, Texas and its surrounding area.

Ultimately, Bamman’s just happy to have done something that has earned recognition. He may not agree with the notion of Uncle Frank as the film’s true villain, but the fact his performance has generated so much online discussion and evoked so many memories for fans out there—including this one—is satisfying to say the least. Bamman may not have seen Uncle Frank as a villain but plenty of fans did. Initially, he recalls being “almost mobbed” wherever he ran into fans eager to meet everyone’s least favorite uncle. Yet the dawn of the internet saw Uncle Frank become the subject of any number of weird and wonderful fan theories that only further enhanced his status as the true villain of the piece. The most prominent of these centered on the notion that Uncle Frank was, in fact, a criminal mastermind who hired Harry and Marv to rob his brother’s house.

A slate of talented actors are set to join Idris in the Luther movie, including Dermot Crowley, who is returning as DSU Martin Schenk. Gene is playing in a large xylophone group, Tina is the star of her production , and Louise is doing a poetry contest. Of course, Bob (H. Jon Benjamin) and Linda will have to try to attend all of them. It’s a relatable set-up that balances all three with laughs and a genuine heart. Dystopian futures, questionable reindeer behavior, and touching reunions between estranged family members. It maintains respect and love for the holiday while going entirely off the rails with it.
Noel Next Door started the season off strong as the first 2022 Hallmark Christmas movie to air. The flick follows a single mom named Noelle whose love interest also happens to be the "Scrooge" of the neighborhood. It turns out the Hallmark and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries channels are debuting a whopping 40 new holiday movies this year.
Cast & Crew
The homes used in the film, particularly for the interior shots, are in Oxford, as is the downtown area. Some hunting scenes were filmed near Lake Crook, the Paris water supply. Other scenes were filmed south of Cuthand, Texas in Red River County. Remnants of the steel truss bridge seen in the film still exist near the Sulfur River crossing between Titus and Red River counties. Husband-and-wife team Harriet Frank Jr. and Irving Ravetch wrote the screenplay, making some key changes in Humphrey's story to emphasize the core conflicts.

Theron rejects his parents as well as the concept of family, and thus Libby, his true love. Though Theron does not know, Libby is pregnant, but she does not want her pregnancy to be the reason for their marriage. Confused and despondent, Libby turns to Rafe, who out of passion and compassion agrees to marry her. It’s a brief moment Bamman said he came up with on the set but it’s one that perfectly encapsulates the petty, hilariously chintzy ways of Uncle Frank.
